Jason Fried from 37Signals

Recently came across a speech from Jason Fried from 37signals. These guys build the most recognisable and successful small web 2.0 company. They have influenced allot of new companies including building a development framework for Ruby (Ruby on rails)

Innovation

I was just looking over Tom Peters recent slides from his Middle East HR Summit in Dubai. One of the slides has this quote from Paul Ormerod.

“I am often asked by would-be entrepreneurs seeking escape from life within huge corporate structures, ‘How do I build a small firm for myself?’ The answer seems obvious: Buy a very large one and just wait.” —Paul Ormerod, Why Most Things Fail: Evolution, Extinction and Economics

This was in reference to how large companies fail to innovate after the initial successful years and therefore fail.
